Our group agrees that getting married at an early age can be very risky. You have to worry about where your going to live, how your going to pay for everything, etc. If you get married out of high school and don't attend college then you are missing out on a very important part of life seeing as most jobs want at least a 2 year degree. You may be able to make it just the 2 of you but if you want to have kids you are going to need better jobs that are going to support you and your kids. Also if you get married to early you may not really know that person very well and living together could make a lot of new things difficult. People get married early and do lead succesful happy lives but for the most part we would want to go to college first. Once you go to college you understand what it is like living on your own, you know how to manage your money, and you have a 2 or 4 year degree to find a job with. If you are really in love then it shouldn't matter how long you have to wait, it can only make things better!!
As a group we think it's a bad idea. We think you won't be mature enough to make those kind of decisions yet. Also, you need to finish college so you can support you and your spouse to even make it in the world. You need to be free while your still young adn have fun, not have to worry about your husband/wife would do if they disapproved of something.
I believe that getting married at an early age would be a bad choice. If you have a promising career and know you can support a family then go for it, but if not u should wait until you've gone to college a couple years so then you can get a good paying job.
If you are absolutely 100% sure that you love your boyfriend or girlfriend and you both want to spend the rest of your lives together, then go right ahead and get married. However, in our world today, many people can't tell the difference between love and lust. I this case, I think that couples should take it slow. My advice for young people who want to get married is to have a long engagement. That way, you will have a long time to plan the wedding and really make sure that you want to go through with it. But, if you really love each other, it shouldn't matter how long you have to wait to get married.
